Abir is the latest artist to join the Drawing Time club. Here is his picture of Lu-loo... a weird and lovely monster, made up of three sections. Abir designed the head and legs sections, and I designed the central part, then we collaborated on all three sections in colouring with watercolour pencils, then washing over some of the colours with water. Abir added the dinosaur and the tiny human in the bottom section to show how gigantic Lu-loo is in comparison. He also added the boils on Lu-loo's stomach, taking care to mix pink and yellow very lightly together to bring up the colour of pus spilling from the boils! You have to zoom in closely to see this detail....if you're game! Notice also how Abir designed Lu-loo's mouth so it went straight out the back of her head instead of tunnelling down into the stomach...a truly astounding monster!
