Carlos

Two new AMAZING drawings from Carlos! He makes good use of the Drawing Time library, flicking through the pages for inspiration before conjuring up his own images that are really fantastic! The above drawing is depicting the full force of the dragon's wrath as the humans trespass on dragon territory in an attempt to rescue the Princess who is kept prisoner by the dragon. Alas, the humans perish in their rescue attempt...
This giant human is armed to confront the dragon. He looks tough and that weapon looks completely ferocious, but will he survive the dragon's fire?

Sean

The creature in the above drawing "has been created from a generation spark. He goes on missions to kill aliens who try to invade Earth". This is how Sean has described what is happening in the picture...he's an amazing artist, just look at the way he drawn the snake wrapped around the pillar. An awesome scene!

Some wild new drawings from our Drawing Time artist, Sean. I absolutely love the angle of the rocky hillside in the picture above....but just what is that curious creature nestling between the rocks? And how's the mad man with a gun for an arm in the drawing on the left? He wants to take over the world, but Ti-ti is stopping him with his skilfull sword manouvres.
Sean is a master of the cartoon, and clearly has a lot of fun with his drawings, which ( I think!) is the secret to becoming a Great Artist!

Kas

I wanted to grab this picture as soon as I saw it! Drawing Time artist, Kas, told me that he didn't like it for some strange reason, but he decided to finish it off before handing over for the blog. I love all the angles in this piece, there's something very mysterious about this drawing...is it a creature or a mechanical monster? I shall have to find out more from the artist.

Kas is the real creator of this picture, he drew the kangaroo leaping through the air. I completed it by filling in the body and drawing the palm trees. I love the way Kas has captured the movement of the leaping kangaroo, it's so amazing how the tail and the legs are so well angled to show the power in the movement. Well done, Kas!

Tuff Nut and Remvsk

A terrifying cross between the Luna Park entrance and some horrific unfortunate monster!
This is a collaboration between Tuff Nut and Remvsk, two artists who excel in cartooning.
Tuff Nut has been creating fantastic cartoons in Drawing Time for well over 18 months, and has been contributing to this blog in earlier posts under a different name. He has a wild imagination, and it's a real joy to see what lands on his paper every week. Keep the drawings coming, Tuff Nut, the world needs them!
Remvsk tends to take most of his pictures away with him, which is why I have only this one to show off, but I dont blame him really. They're absolute treasures!

Vajk

I love this picture! The little figure dwarfed by something HUGE! There is a giant bird inside that massive cloud of dust that is rising around it as it shoots off into the sky. If you look closely, you can see that the giant bird has gills, so can breathe underwater when necessary. The artist, Vajk, told me today that he couldn't understand why everyone liked this picture so much, so I explained to him that it could be because there is so much powerful movement in the way he has drawn the bird's take-off cloud, or the way he has shown how huge the bird is by the size of the human underneath, or maybe it's the techniques he uses: the pencil strokes, the spaces....for whatever reason, this drawing certainly has the power to fascinate the viewer. Keep up the drawing, Vajk! I think you are a great artist already, even though you are just six years old! I really mean that.

Abir

It's so wonderful having Abir as part of Drawing Time, I love the way he draws dinosaurs. Abir knows everything there is to know about dinosaurs. I have added a dinosaur encyclopedia to the Drawing Time library at Abir's request, so look out for even more dinosaurs on this blog. Fantastic drawings, Abir!
And check out these amazing pictures of birds in flight. I really think the colours in this one above look fabulous, beautifully coloured in, Abir.
My favourite owl is the barn owl. I was telling the boys a real story about a barn owl that my friend and I helped bring back to good health after it had been hit by a truck on a country road, and this is what Abir produced at the end of the session! He's really reproduced the features of the barn owl perfectly here.

Carlos Palmer

I show this amazing picture from Carlos Palmer upside down as well as right side up cos the hair looks so good both ways. Carlos has an extraordinary talent for drawing and ideas...check out the creatures below! Keep up the superb work, Carlos...I cant wait to see what lands on your paper tomorrow at Drawing Time.

These creatures are completely unbelievably "out there"!!
Carlos didn't trace these, though you would be forgiven for thinking he did. He used the Manga Cartoon book for ideas and mixed them up with his own, and came up with this amazing picture. Fantastic, Carlos!

Revenge of trees

How cool is this snake? Such an intricate weave of colours and angles, modelled on the favourite "S" code of the Boy's drawing club ... Darcy has also used the same style in writing his name.

And below is one of my favourite pictures from Darcy: Revenge of Trees. That fella with the chainsaw should think twice about killing such a special tree... but I don't think that fella will be doing any more thinking for a long time.
Darcy is a thinker. He knows where the paper is coming from on which he draws such amazing pictures, so he never wastes an inch of paper.
